I’ve plagiarised yet another Steve Hart interview.
Steve caught up with Corey Brown just three months after his horror fall in the Queensland Derby.
The champion jockey sustained a cracked sternum, a punctured lung and required major surgery to repair an unstable fracture to the T7 vertabra.
Forty three year old Corey has put together a stunning record of 2467 career wins including 49 at Group 1 level. He’s a two time Melbourne Cup winner on Shocking in 2009 and Rekindling in 2017.
The likeable horseman won’t be riding through the spring, but will be a regular on Channel 7 and Racing.com telecasts.
Corey loves a chat and was more than happy to discuss his long, slow road to recovery with Steve Hart.
