The only complaint you’ll hear about Steve Hart’s interviews is the fact that he doesn’t do enough of them.
The ace race photographer is always looking for a subject slightly away from the racetrack and its characters. A few weeks ago he visited the home and workshop of a rapidly emerging luminary of the art of sculpture.
Steve presents an engaging chat with Tanya Bartlett a lady who just happens to have a passion for horses. That passion inspired a bronze masterpiece commissioned by Inglis in 2017 to be placed directly outside the five star William Inglis Hotel at Warwick Farm.
The bronze giant depicts a high spirited yearling standing on its hind legs, held in check by an expert but nervous female handler. Appropriately named “The Yearling”, the Tanya Bartlett creation will serve as a lasting monument to the 150 year history of the great Australian company.
From Bradman to Les Darcy to Smokey Dawson and Slim Dusty. From eminent veterinarian Percy Sykes to the great thoroughbred stallion Redoute’s Choice - Tanya has captured with exquisite detail, some of the giants of Australian sport and the performing arts.
Steve Hart got her reminiscing about a fascinating career.
