Multiple northern rivers premiership winning trainer John Shelton is the inaugural winner of the Hygain/Mitavite award.
Our first Hygain/Mitavite country trainer of the month is Grafton’s John Shelton who notched a winning treble at the Grafton meeting on August 16th from his only four starters.
Following a short riding career in Glen Innes, John arrived in Grafton forty two years ago. He started out as a work rider but gradually phased into the training ranks and has maintained an excellent strike rate for several decades.
He reached the pinnacle of his profession three years ago when he won the inaugural Kosciuszko with Belflyer. John has the opportunity to select twelve bags of the Hygain/Mitavite product of his choice.
